Impact: Decision (Day 1)

Not everyone says “yes” to Jesus.

King Agrippa said “no.” The rich young ruler said” no.” Some were too busy for Jesus. One criminal on the cross came to Christ, while the other one didn’t. Even his own home town rejected him.

John 6:66 “From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.”

John 1:11 “He came to his own people and they rejected him.”

Why?

Following Jesus is a decision that effects every area of your life. And not everyone wants every area effected.

Most want Heaven, but not everyone wants a take over. And that’s what making the decision to follow Christ is.

Jesus never diluted his invitation. We do today though. We try to make it easier to follow Jesus than what He made it. At times it seemed that Jesus was working hard to get people NOT to follow him.

From the get-go, his invitation has been an “all-in” invitation. And nothing less.
