The Tyro Christian Church Youth Group - Grades 7th - 12th grade is an active youth group. During the school year, the group meets during Sunday School at 10:00 a.m., for youth group at 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday nights.
Sunday School is a time of learning and Bible Study. Our Jr. High have separate classes for boys and girls, while our High School students meet together. (Please click here for a list and location of Sunday School classes.)
Wednesday night is Underground! We have a great time where anyone is welcome to come and play pool, foosball, ping-pong, etc. We also hear some encouraging words and once in a while have food.
Sunday nights we meet at a house to have a smaller Bible study. We split up into groups - 1st Sunday - Juniors and Seniors, 2nd Sunday - Freshman and Sophomores, 3rd Sunday - Jr. High. The 4th Sunday night is Teen Worship in the Underground.
We go on many trips. We often go to Ozark Christian College for High School and Jr. High events. We have summer church camp at Camp Cyokamo in Alba, Mo. We go to Worlds of Fun every spring and other retreats too. Every summer we go to a week long Summer Conference (CIY) and both an over-seas mission trip and an inner-city mission trip. All the youth sponsors make this trip fun and safe.
