Welcome to the Tyro Christian Church Nursery! Our nurseries are open during all services and are divided into four areas. Newborns to 1-year-old children enjoy a room decorated in soft pinks and blues. It is a warm and secure environment for these special infants. The room is equipped with a large play area and age-appropriate toys. As an extra benefit to these children, we have a nursing mothers room where a mother has a quiet place to feed her baby. This room is also where babies are put down for naps.
Children ages 1 year to 2 years enjoy a brightly colored room that is inviting to even the most apprehensive youngster. The rooms are equipped with toys just their size which provide them with a time of fun. The children also enjoy listening to and watching music videos that teach them about Jesus and His love for them.
The two's and three's spend their time learning about Jesus in a room decorated with Noah's ark and animals. This room provides the space needed for learning and play.
When a child is brought to the Nursery Department, he or she is given a number. That number is attached to the child's diaper bag and also put on a name tag which is taped to his/her back. The person leaving the child is also given a card with the same number. This helps us make sure each child and their belongings return to the same person who dropped them off. If a child in this department is inconsolable after a reasonable amount of time, the person who dropped them off will be notified. If they are in Worship service, the child's security number will flash on two silent pagers located on the wall to the right and left of the stage.
When dropping your child off you can be assured that every reasonable means are being taken for their safety and security. Plain clothed security personnel are always in the area to assist in any problems that may arise.
